Artisan Series 3 - Glass Etcher Lisa Wilkins has been interested in crafts since an early age. She uses her etching technique to create a line of beautifully etched Andover items for our store.
Did you know that glass etching techniques have been around for centuries? However, the popularity of etched glass grew astronomically during the Victorian era, when acid etching was invented. Victorians used etched glass to decorate windows and doors in their homes and businesses. The frosty glass was not only decorative, but also provided privacy when used in street-facing doors and windows.
